"Leggo my egg-o"

Films: George and the Dragon (2004)

Alias: None

Type: Mystical

Location: Lake/Cave/Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of a small building.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Everyone knows the classical tales of knights bringing down dragons like the paragons they were. But honestly, what did the dragon ever do? Aside from burn and pillage towns, that is. But relax, because this dragon did nothing of the sort...probably. Either way, she's retired.

History: George wants to retire after his work in the Crusades, but he needs money. The king offers a hefty sum for him to rescue the princess from a dragon that's kidnapped her. As it turns out, the beast needed a babysitter for her egg, which the princess affectionally names Smite. Alas, George ends up getting the egg lost outside the cave, the dragon seemingly dies, hijinks ensue.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After Smite hatches, the dragon reveals itself to be very much alive. George removes a huge spear from her shoulder, and in return she eats a despot seeking the throne that was about to kill him. She and her baby then go back to their lair beyond the lake.

Powers/Abilities: Fire-breathing.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-Let's ignore all of the incredibly dated CGI going on here. This dragon may not have the best manners, but she's ultimately a good soul who just needed a parent for her child in case that spear finally did her in. She could have done without the kidnapping, but her intentions were pure.

Trivia: -The original myth of Saint George and the dragon ends with George demanding that most of the populace convert to Christianity if they want to see the dragon dead. By that point, he had already wrangled the beast back to the kingdom, and when the majority converts, he deals the final blow to it.

-Cinematic a-hole Val Kilmer has a partially uncredited role in the film that they did while he was on break from "Mindhunters".

No wonder that dragon is flying away. Val Kilmer is in this!

Last dragon my ass!
What? No credit for the dragon?

Maybe slaying the dragon should be considered soon.

A more ignoble pose, knight. Even Sam-I-Am is shaking his head.
